Anything you choose to tell me is confidential, unless I believe that someone’s safety is at risk, including your own or you disclose to me any illegal activity has taken or will be taking place. Examples of these include money laundering, drug trafficking and terrorism.

 

Whilst these occasions are rare, I do have a legal and ethical duty to respond by discussing this with my supervisor and/or the appropriate agencies being the police, safeguarding teams and the NHS. I will always endeavour to make you aware that this will happen whilst recognising this may not always be possible.
